Old Hill Town 1 Leamington 2 - 06/10/01 - Midland Combination Division 1
Taken from the Leamington Courier online

TOP scorer Josh Blake struck either side of half time to stretch Brakes' unbeaten run to ten games in Midland Combination Division One on Saturday.
Sandwiched between the striker's seventh and eighth goals of the season was a characteristic defensive slip from Jason Cadden and Barry Proctor's men, but once again it proved unimportant. The win keeps Brakes firmly in second place in the table.
Blake twice went close before putting his side ahead on 24 minutes. Collecting a bad clearance from the Old Hill keeper, he slipped the ball into the corner of the net. Benson Miyoba had already frightened the defence with his pace and Baz Shearsby had a free kick well saved on eight minutes.
Steve Thompson was having another superb game on the left. He went close, as did Darren Timms, Will Payne and Nick Mort. The could have been five or six goals, but Brakes found themselves on level terms when a breakaway move beat Richard Morris.
Nick Mort and Paul Eden should have put their side back ahead after combining well in the box shortly after the break. That was forgotten on 53 minutes when Blake scored a magnificent second, dancing past four tackles in a packed area befopre tapping the ball into the net. He turned two players and drove wide on the hour when his hat-trick looked a formailty.
Club captain Brian Agar returned from injury as a 75th-minute substitute. Blake and Thompson both had further chances to put the game beyond doubt, but Brakes had done enough to avoid needing a dramatic Beckham-style late goal.."
